Trashion -- fashion made of trash -- is quirky, sometimes goofy and always entertaining. Taos, New Mexico, a town known for its support of community and the arts, holds an annual community celebration called 'Glam Trash Fashion Show', a trashion show with fashion from up-cycled materials. Our friend, Sara Basehart, a Taos resident and trash fashion designer, sent us this adorable video.
Sara's up-cycled gift shop, Seconds Eco Store is a longtime retailer of Escama purses and she is our un-official Escama repair shop. If your bag has a jammed zipper or is unraveling a thread, chances are Sara is able to refurbish it and bring it back to life. (Sara's trashion creation is in the video, " I'm the one with the horns and the swagger "). You can read more about Sara in this interview .
